Product introduction
Up to now, infrared lasers have been used for welding, but have not been able to produce satisfactory results on all metals. The technology can't handle the world's most widely used metal, which is copper. "Highly reflective metals such as copper and gold absorb 7 to 20 times more of the blue spectrum than infrared," explains Dr. Harald Knig, laser technologist at OSram Regensburg.
Structural Analysis
Technical parameters
Based on NUBURU's patented know-how, our AO lasers have been applied to a wide range of metals for defect-free and spatter-free copper welding procedures. This technology also provides improved processing, with speeds ranging from 2x to over 20x that of existing infrared lasers (1μm). This product portfolio ranges from 200W (AO-200) to 650W (AO-650) and to 1.3kW (two AO-650s combined through a single welding lens).
